YOUR HEALTH IS YOUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET

Over the past three years, my journey to better health has sparked an intense passion in me for uncovering the root causes of health issues. When your health is compromised, daily functioning and enjoyment of life can quickly disappear.

When you’re struggling to get through each day because your body is failing you, nothing else seems to matter. The expensive things you own, the beautiful house or car you've worked for, or the possessions you’ve accumulated become insignificant. In a state of non-function, you can’t enjoy any of it. At times, you may look at your children and feel overwhelming sadness because you are too unwell to be the mother you envisioned.

The inability to be present and engage in life as I wanted to was one of the toughest challenges I faced. Intense panic attacks, insomnia, and constant anxiety consumed me in a way that was unbearable.

I wasn’t someone with poor eating habits or an unhealthy lifestyle. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened to trigger this level of anxiety and panic. I had never experienced anxiety before. Did I have symptoms leading up to my first panic attack? Yes, but they were minor—easy to ignore. Doctors dismissed them as just "a tired mother." My cycle had changed, and I began suffering from heavy bleeding that made it impossible to leave the house. Yet, everything appeared normal medically—normal blood work, normal scans. But was I really normal?

The truth is, I was far from it. The first sign of trouble was the change in my cycle. The second was the disruption in my sleep. For many, poor sleep quality is often the first sign that something is wrong. Sleep requires energy to sustain your brain, and in a dysfunctional state, sleep can be compromised.

Think of your body’s energy reserves as a bank account. When your body’s bank account is empty, it starts to borrow energy from other systems—your energy production, nervous system, immune system, hormone balance, digestion, detoxification, etc. We want to keep this energy bank account filled, so your body can spend energy where it’s needed most. This is why treating symptoms at surface level rarely works long-term.

Was I able to fix my insomnia with sleeping pills? Absolutely not. Could modern medicine fix my cycle? No! Trust me, I tried many options and was given plenty of "solutions." But here’s the thing: symptoms are not the problem—they are merely a result of the problem. Until you get to the root of what's causing the imbalance, you won’t find true healing. I spent years in a cycle of trial and error, seeing doctors, specialists, and even undergoing surgeries, but nothing worked. I felt stuck, going round and round with no real answers.

I was tempted to take anxiety medication, which was almost pushed on me. But would it have fixed anything? No. My anxiety had a root cause—it wasn’t a deficiency in anxiety medication. I knew there was something inside me that was out of balance, and I was determined to uncover it.

My body had lost its ability to calm itself. I was constantly in a fight-or-flight state.

I longed for an easy way out, a quick fix to erase the heart-racing, overwhelming thoughts. I desperately wanted to return to the way I once was. But this journey led me to question everything. Despite past challenges, including an accident that forced me to relearn how to walk, this unexplainable, persistent anxiety has been the toughest ordeal I’ve ever faced.

As I write this now, I am a certified Nutritionist, working towards becoming a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. Throughout my studies, I’ve heard countless stories of people healing themselves naturally from conditions once thought incurable. Personally, I’ve healed from the symptoms of endometriosis and adenomyosis.

My healing journey led me to a Functional Health Practitioner who was the first to find real answers for me. For the first time, I underwent tests that looked deeper than surface-level issues. These tests gave me explanations that made sense and revealed that I had a lot of unlearning to do—unlearning what I thought was "normal" but was really just what we’re conditioned to believe. Letting go of a diagnosis is challenging, but you are not your diagnosis. Your body is capable of healing itself.

My advice: invest in your health the moment something feels off. Don’t wait. Don’t excuse. Don’t settle for band-aid fixes.

Health isn’t achieved through quick 15-minute consultations, pharmaceuticals, restrictive diets, or generic blood tests. Health is made through the foods you eat for your metabolic type, the minerals and toxins your body holds, and the environment you create inside and outside your body.

Today, while I love using functional testing to gain deeper insights into my clients' symptoms, health is not achieved simply by providing protocols and supplements. Supplements are supplemental! They complement a holistic lifestyle and nutrition approach. Dis-ease requires us to go deeper than just supplements—it’s about your mental, physical, and emotional states. It’s about healing trauma. It’s about what we’re not doing daily to reduce stress. True healing is never found in a bottle! I’ve wasted money on supplements myself, so I understand how easily people can fall into that trap.

True healing requires unlearning, and with the right coach by your side—one who understands what healing truly requires and who has walked this path before you—you can achieve it. But remember, there is no quick fix for chronic conditions.
